In situ measurements, remote sensing, modeling, long-range transport, and impacts of HLD and low-latitude dust in the Arctic, with an emphasis on CAMS User engagement in Iceland.
The 10th High Latitude Dust Workshop will take place in Reykjavik, Iceland, on 11-12 February 2025, in a hybrid format with in-person and online participation. This event builds upon the success of previous workshops, bringing together scientists, policymakers, and experts to share and discuss the latest research on High Latitude Dust (HLD) and its impacts on the Arctic and beyond.

About the artists
Emilia Telese is a multimedia artist based in Iceland. She uses earth and loam from emotionally and environmentally significant places to make work, pushing the boundaries of printmaking and performance. Her works, including Icelandic dust, will be part of the Workshop.
Dust Forest (2025) was an immersive printmaking art installation by artist and researcher Dr Emilia Telese at the Royal Festival Hall, London, in October 2025, using dust from Icelandic dust hotspots, collected by Dr Pavla Dagsson-Waldhauserovà. In this paper, Dr Emilia Telese discusses the use of paper as a tertiary memory vessel and dust as a non-linear chronicle, referencing Bernhard Stiegler’s ideas about memory in relation to technical supports that exist beyond the human body.
Beata Katerina Spacilova is a multimedia artist and university educator. She teaches at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Brno and at the Faculty of Informatics at Masaryk University. In addition to BRNO ŠIJE, she founded an open-screen-printing workshop called BRNO TISKNE.
Stones talk too much!
Lava rocks at the very centre of dust storms are silent witnesses to natural changes. It sits quietly. It is results presentation of an interdisciplinary project from trips to the desert.
